About The Platform
The Platform [Previously known as Care Co-operatives] is a social enterprise with the aim of creating a thriving social economy in Brighton and Hove.
Social enterprises are businesses that trade to tackle social problems, strengthen communities or improve the environment. They aim to generate most of their income through selling goods and services, reinvesting the majority of their profits to further their mission.
Having built a reputation for enterprise, learning and innovation the organisation has successfully developed social businesses and blended person–centred learning approaches in the building of a social business hub in the centre of Brighton.
We are achieving our aim through:
-Enabling people to achieve their potential through innovative learning and skills opportunities
-Supporting the social economy to thrive through the Brighton and Hove Social Enterprise Network
-Delivering customer focused social businesses in catering, venue hire and serviced offices
We are at an exciting time in the organisation with lots of new developments happening this coming year.
